Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett visited the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library today for the purpose of awarding two grants to the library. The Bolivar-Hardeman County Library received a Library Services and Technology Grant from the Tennessee State Library and Archives (TSLA) in the amount of $515.00 for the purchase of technology to expand their internet services.

The CARES Act Grant was also awarded in the amount of $1,700.00. This grant, administered and distributed through the state will be utilized for the purchase of mobile hot spots that will be available for check-out through the library. The addition of the mobile hot spots will provide residents without internet service with the ability to access necessary internet resources.

Library Director Becky White applauded the programs stating, “These grants enable the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library to enhance its services to the public and provide valuable resources otherwise unattainable with general library funding.”

Regional Library Director Genny Carter, Senator Dolores Gresham, Representative Johnny Shaw, Carly Weems, Library Board Chair Deana Sain, City Administrator Shelia Delllinger, and Representative Ron Gant joined Secretary Hargett for the presentation.
