The Bolivar Police Department will host its 2022 Citizens Police Academy beginning on November 3, 2022, and running through December 22, 2022. This is the second time the department has hosted the academy for residents of Bolivar.
The academy is a comprehensive program created to foster better relationships between the department and the residents that it serves. The academy's purpose is to promote an understanding between the community and law enforcement through education and interaction. Residents will have the opportunity to meet their police officers and learn the structure and activities of the police department.
Interested applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and a resident of Bolivar. In addition, applicants will be required to pass a limited background check and must be able to participate in some physical activity.
The program is provided at no cost to participants. Interested residents must apply by October 22, 2022. Applications are available at the police department. Click here to download the online application.
