Utility Director Jim Nuckolls Appointed to Tennessee Energy Acquisition Board


Bolivar, TN April 11, 2023: The City of Bolivar’s new utility director, Jim Nuckolls, has been appointed to the Tennessee Energy Acquisition Board. The appointment was made on March 29, 2023. Jim will be replacing Cliff Henson who has served on the TEAC Board for the past 6 years. Mr. Henson will be retiring on April 30, 2023.


The Tennessee Energy Acquisition Corporation (TEAC) is a nonprofit public corporation serving publicly owned natural gas distribution systems throughout the State of Tennessee that provide services to more than 528,000 natural gas customers. TEAC provides natural gas supply to project participants in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Tennessee.


The Tennessee Energy Acquisition Corporation (TEAC) acquires, manages, and finances supplies of natural gas for sale to its associated municipalities and project participants, and offers comprehensive natural gas supply, pipeline transportation, and storage management services to its associated municipalities. The City of Bolivar joined TEAC in 2005.


Mr. Nuckolls, one of eight board members, is married to Leah Cole Nuckolls and has two daughters Macie, and Mollie. Mr. Nuckolls has been with the Bolivar Utility Department since 1991.
